use the one out of your scirocco.. it will work, the mods to make it fit is easy.. anyway i have some GTI leather wrapped steering wheels for sale if anyone is interested.. they fit the vanagon w/ the mod i do to the back of the steering wheel itself. they look like what Bob has in his syncro...but with the orig black leather handgrip. heres pic of bob's..
