Volks, This thread reminds me of when I first got my 85 Westy Weekender. A few of my friends gave my a lot of you know what for having a mini-van. In fact one went so far as to give me a model of a splity as a present with mini-van printed on the side of it. This friend lives in Oregon and came down for a visit one weekend. So I volunteered to pick him up at the airport in Oakland. But before I picked him up I bought some 2 or 3 inch wide masking tape and some 2 or 3 inch RED duct tape. With the making tape I spelled out MINI-VAN and with the RED duct tape I made the international "NO" sign over it. You know the red circle with the slash through it. I wish I had taken photos of it. It was pretty funny to see his and the rest of the travelers faces that were waiting to be picked up in front of the terminal when I pulled up with my non mini-van proud to be a Vanagon ride. It got quite a reaction from everyone that was there. In fact there might be photos somewhere of it, if I can find them I will post..................... Paul Rogers 85 Westy Weekender Whatever it is...................
