The 2WD e-brake cables are part # 251-609-701C. They are 1473mm long. The Syncro uses different cables left and right. Right is part # 251-609-702, 1390mm long and the left cable ends as 702D, 1436mm long. The offset keeps the compensator from bouncing and hitting the center drive shaft. There is a bushing where the cable goes into the chassis, part # 251-609-719B and the clamp that holds the cable to the trailing arm is #N-020-620-1. For under $20, the complete brake shoe spring set (both sides), is #251-698-545.

I am wondering HOW the syncro emergency brake cables are different than the 2wd.

I have one well respected fine 'gent say it PROBABLY doesn't make much of a difference, but couldn't verify that with any statistical reasoning.

So, for someone that has a syncro and a 2wd... please crawl under your rigs and see how the 2wd and syncro e-brake cables are different. AND can the 2wd cables be used in a syncro?

I am deprived and only have syncros.
