Subject: What a difference the right tire makes!!!!!!!!!!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

Hey All, Over the last few months i have followed most of the threads on tire issues.. brand suggestions... ect.... ect... I finally got around to buying new tires for my 89 carat... it was between the BF Goodrich tires and Bridgestone Dueler A/T's... i went with the Bridgestone because they got better reviews online and tirerack.com had a 50 dollar mail in rebate... just got them mounted today... One word describes the difference between the car tires that were on it and these light truck tires... WOW!!!!!!! The van rides firm but not harsh.. it's not loud at highway speed.. is super smooth and is light years better in crosswinds and going around corners.... This weekend I am installing new upper and lower ball joints , control arm bushings.. tie rods and german boge shocks... and a fresh 4 wheel alignment... it's should be great with the new tires. Just wanted to let anyone on the list contemplating getting the right tire for there van... DO IT! It's so worth it... Thanks all for your long and laborious conversations about finding the best tires for Vanagons.. pointed me in the right direction... if anyone wants to buy the Dueler A/T's the size is 27 8.5 14 for stock 14 inch vanagon rims... later all, jesse 89 carat 170,000 miles 86 scirocco 310,000 miles
