Hi Stan, I think I remember you from the days when I had an '84 Westy, when I had loads of questions for the list, and received good advice. Well, long gone are my days in the rig. I have an '85 Honda Accord I bought 2 years ago for $300 with 225,000 miles and haven't needed to do any repairs! She now has 240k -- wow! Also last month I bought a '90 Subaru Legacy with 250,000 miles for $600. They both run great and are insurance for each other. Anyway, you may get the point why I am no longer a devoted Vanagon owner. Don't get me wrong, I love them, especially Westies, but I have no disposable income except for cars under $800 that keep running. So, that said, I have some items that you or someone on the list may be interested in buying from me. I have a new condition hardback edition of the Haynes VW Transporter Repair Manual. This is a nice addition to the Bentley, with good illustrations. It is the British repair manual for the Vanagon. It is Haynes#3452 and ISBN 1-85960-452-8. I also have a new Mann/Mahle oil filter, and a "dual battery kit" I purchased from Bus Depot, sealed in original packaging. I don't think I can post to the list since I don't subscribe anymore, but if you wouldn't mind posting this message for me I'd certainly appreciate the kind deed. I can be reached via email at LS7@humboldt.edu Thanks a bunch! Les Stan Wilder High Performance Ceramic Coatings www.engineceramics.com
