Hello- I'm pulled over at a service station off highway 94 about 30 miles east of chicago. Couldnt even see a town name because I had to panic and get off the road. Its raining pretty hard, and suddenly my left drivers wiper flipped all the way over (hanging off the left side of vehicle) and wouldnt return to position. Now that I am pulled over, I can see that it is quite easy to rotate the arm (the working passenger side has a lot of resistance). The wiper arm operates normally with no blade on it, but with the blade in place, it just remains still. It is as if a clutch mechanism or tightening mechanism is broken. I have the bentley opened up, and it seems there is very little info in there. This service station doesnt seem to know anything about vws, but thye will "take a look" in 30 mins. In the meantime, if anyone can offer quick, private replies (i am only on digest list since i am travelling), i would appreciate it. I'm also reachable at mantid@neuron.net via MSN messenger. please send email to rob@phemp.com if you are familiar with this system and can offer some advice. Thanks |
