What's even funnier (as read in "Small Wonder", one of several books of the history of Volkswagen's rise), was Ford being asked after the war if he would be interested in taking over Volkswagen and was told by one of his advisors "Mr Ford, I think what we're being offered here isn't worth a damn!" (or words to that effect). The rest is history of course.
