Howdy Mates,

I recently purchased a nice sound system for ole Bill Bones and had it "professionally installed," but it never really sounded right to me. So I got online and found lots of good information regarding hooking up a stereo system and amplifier and discovered that the polarity of many of my speaker connections were reversed, I heard engine noise in the stereo, there were far too many splices in the wiring, the "pros" had just attached to the original (and old) wiring harness, etc.

So, I purchased 50 feet of JL Audio speaker cable, pretty much stripped the inside of my bus out, ran new wires everywhere (including new power wires and grounds), and now the stereo sounds great. The moral of this story: if you want something done right, take the time to figure it out and then just do it yourself.

Have a great evening.

Warren Lail 88 Westy "Billy Bones"
