I always hated the vanagon gas cap. I finally went into a junkyard and looked around and found that a style of mid-90s BMW gas cap style fits perfectly, is built better, matches the van better than the original, and has no lock.

Search for a 1995 BMW 540i cap at an online auto parts store, they are about $15. I think they probably fit other years/models too so any junkyard ought to have a few.

I cannot keep a gas cap on my 84.5 westy . I have trouble locking it, I have monkey hands when it comes to trying to lock it. Then going down the road it pops off...I need some input please
