oops John sometimes I'm hard to understand. anyway I drained my trans fluid to see if the sticky shifting was due to old trans oil. over 2 years old * red line * well seems the real troule was my clutch pedel master cyl was acting funky, so I put DOT 4 and drained and it shiftts better now, BUT I want to flush it and put all new clutch fluid in.

whats the best way to flush it just have someone pedel push it out while i open the bleeder.

Joe

Joe,

Are you saying you clutch "pedal" went to zero after putting Redline Tranny Oil into the tranny????

Actually when I first read your post, it almost sounded like you put the tranny oil into the clutch hydraulic system, which of course would be a disaster.

I don't know about having to have a power bleeder, but I replaced my clutch master cylinder, and then refilled the brake/clutch hydraulic fluid tank. Once done, the system self-bled as I rapidly pumped the clutch pedal 75-100 times.

I didn't drain the clutch hyraulic system completely nor bleed the clutch slave cylinder at the time I did all this. But I have not had any trouble now in the two years since I did this.

I went through a period of having to replace the clutch master, and the brake master. I suspect the next hydraulic item to fail and require replacement will be the slave cylinder.

Regards,
