Well, one difference I've noted between my 87 and my 91 is the rev limiter is higher. 87 shuts off abruptly and completely at 5400, the 91 goes to 5600 and is softer, completely shutting off at 5800. Not much difference otherwise that I've noticed. I've never looked at part numbers on either. In fact, it's one part I've never taken out of any of my waterboxers. Damn near everthing else, though!
