If it is a Vanagon that you truely love, and you can't see yourself parting with the Van anytime soon, go for the gusto and get disk brakes in the rear. I used to do a lot of stuff with baywindow busses, and a buddy of mine who put a 913-6 (911) engine in his 76 bus switched out the rear drums to disks. -It was a major difference. The bus really seemed to have more linear stopping, and it made the van so much more sporty when you could rely on the brakes that much more.. just my .02. YMMV. Chris |
