>A Brian@Smallcar Subaru conversion. Will this be the first Vanagon to receive >the impeccable Outback H6 3.0? In all likelihood, yes, a 2002 model. If we >find it just won't work, then it's getting an SVX. The SVX EG33 engine is more powerful, and has proven excellent reliability. The EZ30 Grand Wagon (Outback) flat-six hasn't been around that long, so I'd say its reliability has yet to be shown, either way. And the price difference as well as availability of over-the-counter adaptor parts... (of course the EJ/EG adaptor plate & flywheel may well fit the EZ also... in fact I'd be surprised if they didn't). -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut |
