I've noticed same. Seems even to be quieter sitting back seat than in driver's seat (wind noise contributes to that). Also think that the plastic air distribution thing that runs between front seats in my van acts like a sound chamber ( I did sound deaden under that, as well as all the walls of my van).. Alistair
