Hi, haven't been able to find anything in the archives about this (not sure I know what to search for though, sorry...). There are two small tanks behind each front wheel connected with two lines each. I'm assuming these are reserve/aux gas tanks as they only start to leak with a pretty nice drip when I fill the tank.. all 4 lines leak. Obviously I'd like to replace these lines.. so the question is: Are these lines pressurized even if the gas tank is low? Looks like I can just go to Napa and get some replacement lines and clamps and just do this myself, but I've read that the fuel system is pressurized even with key off etc. and wouldn't want to create a mess. Thanks for any tips. This isn't a big deal, but I'd like to be able to drive with a full tank. :-) Parker '89 Westfalia |
