I find it interesting that Japan produced junk merchandise 30 years ago and now they produce very good stuff for the most part. As competitors to Japan, Taiwan produced junk merchandise for many years and then very good stuff right up into the Clinton years before China became most favored nation status. I sincerely hope that China takes the lead of the other Asian nations and gets a grip on their quality control and starts producing better stuff. Of course you know that quality products will demand higher prices and the thrill of a good deal will soon evaporate just as it did with Japanese made merchandise. The only way for America to get their demands across is for the American consumer to return anything defective to the US Merchandiser and over the next few years the Chinese will start making better products. I Hope !

Wrong, If a guy was smart, any individual seal for anything is available at Berry Bearing or any other nationwide seal or bearing supplier. The seal number is clearly indicated on the side of it. Yes, there are still seal manufacture's out there. You just have be real creative and to do some finger walking in the local yellow pages. Not a difficult job. Not hard to find. And 9 times out of ten that's all that fails on any hydraulic jack a .15 cent seal, regardless where it's point of origin may be.

Out of all the stuff in the rebuilding kit, I only need one very small cup seal. No one wants to make the individual seal, no money in it.
