The SVX EG33 engine is more powerful, and has proven excellent reliability. The EZ30 Grand Wagon (Outback) flat-six hasn't been around that long, so I'd say its reliability has yet to be shown, either way. And the price difference as well as availability of over-the-counter adaptor parts...
