Seam rust is IN! the seam and can't be fixed without taking the seam apart IMHO. Fixing the outside, visible rust, will last for about 6 months then the rust will etch back under the paint to the outside where you can see it again (just after your paint job guarantee expires).

IIWY. I'd go to Krown.com and find someone who will send a bottle/can of the Krown rust prevention oil to you. Then I'd get the visible rust fixed as best I could. Then I spray the Krown oil in from behind the seam. A yearly application will STOP the rust, not fix it, but stop it. I speak from experience up here in Canada. M
