in my search for a hard to find metric fitting for my Engine conversion project I stumbled upon. Maryland Metric http://mdmetric.com

after browsing thru their extensive website (but still not able to find a M8x1.0 (fine) X (anything I can get a 1/4 or 1/8 NPT onto) brass adapter I still haven't found it but am anticipating a reply from their technical help mail.

it appears it's worth a bookmark, (imho)

I have no afiliation or interest in their financial success, I'm just passing along information for rare Metric fittings and taps/tools. hopefully i'll be able to report more once they get back to me on a more difficult metric fitting.

FWIW i'm also checking to see if King Dick brand tools has T-shirts 8-) http://mdmetric.com/prod/kingdick/index.htm
