True, but that'd only be the case if you mounted a standard home-type turntable with a long arm and delicate, carefully balanced stylus. Those old Philips/Norelco automotive turntables tracked at FOUR GRAMS when most turntables tracked at under 2, maybe up to 3 for cheaper ones. It kept the needle in the groove for most bumps and allowed it to run at an angle, but man, it was murder on that vinyl. A dozen plays on a 45 and you could hear the music being ground off the disc!
