I just did this job recently.
I used two short pieces of 2x4 and two sections of 5/8 all thread 4 washers
and nuts.

Bore two holes in the edge of each 2x4 and install the all thread to form a
square.

Place the square in the frame against the glass and spread the 2x4 with the
hardware.
You have to have the window out of the vehicle and the silicone will let go
easier if you use a heat gun on it as you apply the pressure.

I used this to take two windows apart this way, worked great.
