Some clarification: the bolt I am having trouble with is page 26.7 in Bentleys Vanagon book. Upper right corner of picture, passenger side front exhaust flange. (Actually I need to remove the lower bolt -- not shown -- from the flange.)

I can't get a box wrench over it, only an open-end wrench or a socket at a slight angle. The exhaust pipe is in the way.

I'll bet someone knows the secret technique for sweet-talking that bolt off.
