Subject: re ZODI heater

I have used a ZODI to heat my Vanagon for years now. I have a rig to hang it from the side window, but lately I just attach it to one of those coleman tank tree's and pipe it into the vent window up front. While away I also use the 20lb tank to fill up the little disposable tanks I use for cooking and light. I have a spare battery to power it. It is not perfect, but it was cheaper and easier to install than a furnace, and I didn't have to make any permanent modifications. It provides plenty of warm clean "DRY" heat, and there is nothing to burn yourself on inside the van. It is a little noisy, but you get used to that You could build one of these yourself with about 5 -10 hours of work and save some money.

Regards Graham

Hiya..

I know a lot of you already know about Zodi products, here is for those who don't :-)

The make some pretty cool things that you can use without making mods to your van.

The tent heater for instance with the 5-gal kit can be fed into a front window (cut a small piece of plex or cardboard to fill the remaining gap) and you have great heat.

Enjoy, Brian
