There were a lot of the less sophisticated P22 models sold in 80 but
this Westy id tag on the bench said P27. The butchers that got the
kitchen stuff somehow left behind part of the exhaust from the propane
fridge as well as the skid plate from the propane tank. I bought the
skid plate and the drain cap for the water tank. The water tank was
still there loose inside the van because they broke the drain pipe off
the bottom while removing it. The P22 tank is shaped much differently
since it lives under the bench and can be seen in it's entirety every
time you lift the seat.
The VIN number had A for 1980 and then 008803. A very early Vanagon for
sure.
