The Airlift 1000 kit is a real basic setup that can work with almost any vehicle with coil or leaf springs that don't have the shocks inside the coils (like the front of a 2wd Vanagon). The kit is real generic so there are a whole bunch of neat parts left over after correct installation on the Vanagon. I've got one of these kits without the compressor on my '85 Wolfsburg. It will counteract some of the characteristic lean but there isn't enough lift to level the van if the unlevelness is noticable. The hoses they provide rot very quickly but the air bags are quite tough.
