There has been a reoccurring thread about AudioVox Cruise Controls. Some time
ago, I posted about the cruise control I use (Ultracruise II) which was
distinguished by the fact that it did not use vacuum assist. For years I fought
with vacuum control diaphragms as they readily (6 months to a year) fail in the
engine compartment heat. They were generally inadequate on gas engine systems
(particularly the WBX with its pathetically low vacuum levels) with inadequate
draw reserve approaching hills. Etc., Etc.

Well, the Ultracruise II is an electrical servo driven unit. No vacuum or
vacuum reserve canister. Unfortunately, when others tried to purchase the
Ultimate Cruise Control, the company had gone belly-up! Minutes ago, while searching
for a pulse frequency adapter to sync speed sensors with dissimilar
speedometers, I found the missing cruise controls!!! They reside at
www.dakotadigital.com under accessories. $250 per pop. I paid around $150 to $200 many years ago.

For what its worth. Its functioned flawlessly for me for years.
