I'll bet the fan won't work at all when it gets colder! You may want to check the switch out first but I doubt you will find the problem there. If you replaced it with a used motor I suggest you replace it with a new one. A gummed up motor will not likely turn at lower fan settings.

Bus Depot and other list vendors carry these at discount prices.
