Hi Everyone,

Some of you may have remembered that Will and I were on our way to Europe in May 2004. We made the trip with our 84 Westy, Greenbriar Billy. We shipped the van to Bremerhaven Germany. After several weeks of waiting we started our trip from Northern Germany and covered over 14,000 miles driving in Europe, Scandinavia into Russia to Moscow and onto Eastern Europe driving South all the way to Istanbul, Turkey and then driving back to Germany by the way of Northern Greece. The van did amazingly well.

We ended up replacing the brake master cylinder, it was the original. The clutch slave and clutch master cylinder and water pump belt were also replaced. Gas prices ranged about $6 a gallon in Norway to the cheapest in Russia at about $1.85. The van is now parked in a barn in Northern Germany awaiting our return next May when we will continue our trip of Western Europe.

I told many people that my wish was to get a picture of the van sitting Red Square, too many barricades. I hope they will be happy with a picture of the van parked in front of Moscow University. If any of you want a picture of the van in Moscow or more information about our trip go to Willandlarry.com I will be posting pictures soon along with an extensive diary.

Larry Calhoun, Will Foertsch
