Vanmania in NV sells this 'stock' set-up. http://i21.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/98/e7/f0_1.JPG http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=793042356 8&category=33573

Now i'm not knocking him for offering a great all together kit for a common needed issue on my and others Diesel vans. and that alternator is near $200 dealer only item. (at least was on my 98 mk3 jetta)

but does anybody know the models and years that these parts were for? for some of us more enterprising VW sorts with more time then $$ avaialable? if only offered on the newer 1.9NAs in canada I'm not against a roadtrip to a canadien JY to pull. I really would like the serpentine belt reliability vs my single belt set-up and the dual belt complication.

I have a gas serpentine set-up and it DOES NOT FIT by the injection pump, Looked like it would in the JY car by eye, but is not the case once @ home. soo for me all I'd need is the Mount that goes atop the waterpump I already have an alt, and pulleys.

any insight into the make/model/year and maybe part #s for this would be greatly appreciated for my father's and my own diesel vans.
