On my subie mod I used an ir temp reader to check the temp at the sender boss of a subie legacy. Then checked the same point on my install. At normal was 180 and at hot after a run it was 195. I then calibrated my aftermarket gauge to read correctly at the 180 with a resistor then took out on a run down the highway up a few hills to get the temp up to 195 on the gauge and then rechecked the temp at the engine against the gauge. Was correct. I have done this with other engine mods I have done over the years as well. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• jimt Planned insanity is best.
