I have an 83 diesel 1.6 with 131,000 miles on it and the speedometer bounces around quite a bit. Iıd say itıs about a 2-3 mph range and it seems like the same amount at most speeds. I know this is an older car syndrome that is not unique but I am wondering if anyone knows what causes it and how it can be fixed.

Dave
