On my subie mod the first time I was out in a downpour I suddenly was getting oil pressure lights and lost power and surging. But I knew I had oil pressure because a test lead I was using for something earlier on my system told me I definatly had oil pressure. I pulled of and into a car wash (yes into a car wash to stay dry) and popped the deck. My 3-4 side of the engine had water over everything. I pulled a few connectors apart and dried them off and rechecked. Oil light back to normal and most of my run problems were gone as well. I am still deciding how to put a splash plate of some kind in there to stop that in the future.
