Hi All, While I've got my bus stripped down, I'm thinking of spraying all of the interior spaces including (behind) the dash, with a product called Line X. It is supposed to have coarsely ground rubber in it. It is also better than a lot of bed liners, In that it is not as toxic. Anyone used this in their truck or Van? thanks, John C... If you folks think that just by installing the front door seal from a late model Vanagon is going to do it, you in for a big suprise. I can see a bunch of unhappy camper's out there dropping their doors, pop riviting, or drilling and screwing the channles to accept this seal, ony to find they have the same noise levels thay had before. I have them in my 90 Carat and it took a bunch more even with the seals to quiet the Van down to an acceptable level. This is not the one and only solution to ths issue ( in a matter of fact I don't think it will reduce the road noise problem at all, seeing as road noise comes from the bottom of the Van as I discovered, and almost totally eliminated ) Be real careful taking the doors off you Van--they are a pain to realign.
