Chuck, if you already do all your own darkroom work, you know what is involved and how to do it when it comes to developing your negatives (Loading bag and Nikor type tank). Drying without picking up dust is going to be the biggest problem. This should be possible on the road, but actual darkroom work (printing) would be a real project. If you haven't been doing your own darkroom work, 'on the road' is probably not the place to learn. Before I went digital (three years ago) I had found two professional labs in the Seattle area (one for B/W and another for color) for serious stuff, and several 'One Hour Photo' labs with good operators that I could talk to and work with. Finding those on the road could be a real problem. I'd find some B/W Photography news groups/interest groups on the Internet and start asking the same question there.
