No, the flashing rate was not changed. I counted the flashes for 30 seconds with the turn signal turned on in each direction. The side with the 50 watt turn bulb had exactly the same count as the 21 watt side. I have only changed the rear bulbs, not the fronts but I suspect that would not change the rate either. This result did not surprise me as I often tow a trailer with 2 extra turn signal bulbs per side and the flashing rate seems the same.
