Smaller rigs can go where the ash tray is. I have an Alinco DR-110 2m VHF mounted in that location - PERFECT fit. My HF radios sit behind the driver seat on both vehciels as they have a detachable face plate that can be mounted almost anywhere (Icom 706MKIIG and Alinco DX-70TH). The DX-70TH is in my TriStar with an Icom W2A hand held coming with my when I need VHF and UHF - this is mounted on a cell phone holder that suction cups to the window.

Hi all,

Just wondering where any Ham radio enthusiasts have mounted their mobile rigs? I was thinking about on the passenger mount, with the bracket on the topside of the radio.

Its nice having the battery in the cabin already.less distance and figuring for that.I already have it wired, just don't want it floating around in between the seats anymore.
