You made some good points I'd like to comment on:

All lights are intermittent use except tail/parking lights, unless you spend
a lot of time in reverse with the brakes applied and the hazards on! (See bottom)

I don't see why 21W bulbs would last any longer than 50W bulbs.  Anyway, the bulbs
are intermittent use except the tail/parking lights.  (See bottom)

They're not THAT bright, compared to other cars on the road.

Depends on the idiot.


I think your brake/tail light contrast comment is worth acting
on:  I have a few spare bulbs from past cars and I think I'll
put in some slightly larger ones for the tail lights, but not
the OEM "candles".  This also saves the light switch and reduces
other problems you discuss.
