Agree with that! Actually, it's been 22 years since I was there. But
just take highway1 all the way from San Luis Obispo to Monterrey and
you couldn't go too wrong. Some places there by San Simeon fuel might be
<$3.00/ gallon, make sure you fuel up in a big town. Lots of beautiful
arch bridges, blue sky, blue ocean make for many photo ops for your
family Christmas cards!
