Basically if the vehicle has never been "typed" in the US or posted to the US EPA you are in extreme difficulty. It will be held at port until bonded out to where the work can be done by a bonded shop. If the vehicle is over (20 or 25 years( I forget which) it is a lot easier. From some data I have recently seen, the T4 may have been EPA and typed in case of possible export to the US. However I have no idea where to find out for sure. There are companies that specialize in importing and exporting vehicles. Recommend contacting one of them.
