Thanks Gary. I did mention that I promise not to sleep with it on. :-) I could not sleep with any kind of heater inside the van. Its making it warm enough to dress and undress, and fall asleep that I am wanting to deal with.

From what I can tell, using btu, to watt, to heat conversions that confuse me no end, 1K btus should be able to warm a vanagon enough for me, with all kinds of variables, but I was hoping to hear some actual experiences.

Guess I will find out this weekend. <g>
