Subject: whoa! loose washers on crank
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi all,

I just pulled the clutch and flywheel off of Bill Bones to replace the flywheel seal. I pulled the flywheel seal out and two washers were loose back there. One appears to be a thrust washer with a tab on it, while the other is a flat washer with markings on it.

I have replaced a flywheel seal before on my 81 aircooled, but I have never seen two loose washers back in there. What gives? Do I just push them back on there and button it up?

Many thanks!

Warren Lail 88 Westy "Billy Bones"
