This stuff is probably similar, if not identical, to the Tempur-Pedic products. Costco was selling a variation of it last year. We bought one (the "mattress topper"). Our experience was: 1) It works as advertised, i.e., it is very comfortable, support-wise. I don't have an opinion on help for those with specific back problems, however. 2) It sleeps "hot", by which I mean it absorbs and reflects back your body heat. Perhaps that's where the "Tempur" comes from. So much so, that we were self-broiling. That is the main reason we returned it. 3) It's heavy, and dense. Although not a problem for home applications, do you really want to lug around at least 30+ extra lbs. in your Westy? Density=not easy to store. If you try to fold it up, it takes some volume!

YMMV,
