Hi Chuck,

OMG that is absolutely the truth.... My parents returned this past
Friday from a trip flying  out to Seattle to purchase a 67 VW camper on
behalf of a third party. The bank draft they took with them was refused
at the seller's bank, and they were told they would have to wait 5 days
for it to clear. Western Union charged $500 in fees to transfer the
funds, plus a  $60 cab ride to the WU office.

The 2,903 mile drive home from Seattle was a great trip.

Moral of the story.... Carry cash instead for international
transactions. The recent rise in bank fraud and identity theft scams
has made remote-banking a lot more trouble than it used to be.
