hmph. you guys don't know how good you had it. in 1968-1970, we were eating c-rations. in cans. heavy as hell and no heating stuff came with it. oh, we got cigarettes and toilet paper (John Wayne paper ... :) and chocolate (well ... sorta. it LOOKED like chocolate). i kinda actually like pork slices. we had one guy in our unit that loved ham and lima beans (known to most of us as 'ham and mutha-*****' because of the gastric distress it caused). he would actually trade his fruit cocktail cans for the stuff. go figure.

good ol' days? not from the way i see it. ;)
