Jeff: There is definitely one stamped on a crossmember under the sliding door. Recently I was working on the fuel pump, and looked forward. the back of the outrigger assembly that you jack it from for the right front wheel. It's there on my 82 also. I'll have to look at my 80. The 80 was built in June 1979- very early.
