Subject: Torque Converter Seal Very Brittle...Anyone know why?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hello All:

I recently had my Auto Trans pulled from my 90 Carat and had the Torque Converter Seal replaced (for the second time in a year and a half) The mechanic found the seal to be very brittle...you can snap little pieces off the inside diameter easily. He said he doesn't think it's from excessive heat...everything about the trans and converter looks fine. The seal is onlyt about a year old (replaced by a different mechanic)...anyone ever encounter this before?

Cheers! Kevin
