Ever pull up next to a empty 18 wheeler at a stoplight? They still don't accelerate or stop very fast empty or loaded.

This is the only vehicle I know of that is honestly slower than a Bus or a Van. ( Other than an Isetta , Messerschmitt, Crosley or Renault Dauphine )

I sure wouldn't want to be loading bricks window high behind me. It's that one time with the 80 year old, no headed driver, pulling out from a stop sign in front of you, that would be the last trip.

I don't think that anyone manufacture's a headache rack for a Vanagon or Bus.

You guys go ahead and try for the Ripley's weight hauling record in a Type 2, or a Vanagon. I'll keep my head on my shoulder's, save my vehicle's suspension, and back bone for more pleasurable things.
