The Golf engine(s) that the Tiico is derived from, regularly go to 6000 rpms without any concern. I take mine up to 5000 rpms all the time, frequently use 3rd gear at 5000 rpms sustained on some of the long grades in WV. Just change your oil and filter regularly, and you shouldn't have to worry about it. This is one of the chief advantages of the Tiico engine over the WBX engine...that higher RPM capabiliity.
