Hey John, Take a look at the list of what you need from the donor car at the www.smallcar.com website. They will identify all the small parts and wires bits. Also I am in the process of evaluating the costs to do one of these conversions and I figured out that it will run roughly $2000 in parts to adapt the Suby engine, regardless of 2.2 /2.5 or 3.3 into your Vanagon. the 3.3 being slightly more expensive on some of the parts but give or take. Of course our blood-sweat and tears are free labor. Smallcar.com has some of the conversion parts that you will need but also you will need the adapter plate from Kennedy Engineering www.kennedyeng.com Good luck.... Joel, 89 Syncro Westy Rochester NY. What I need is detailed instructions on what to get and where each part that I need is located. Is there a website somewhere that would tell me this? TIA, John Houser, Jr. Perry, Ga. 84 westy
