Actually with almost any engine mod other than the subie or inline 4 tilt
jobs you will be raising the decklid. If I remember right the tdi is only a
slight raise. A heavy GM V8 is almost 7 inches, a chevy v6 is about 6
inches, a vr6 is about 6 inches, etc.
My latest insanity was to figure out how to do a vw new diesel series
engine. Almost 8 inches of deck lid raising for that.
